Advertising Terms and Conditions
Advertising Deadlines & Cancellation
All advertising materials must be with us by the 6-9th of the publishing month, viz. 6-9th February, 6-9th May, 6-9th August and 6-9th November. Once an advertisement is agreed (e-mail also being sufficient), if an ad fails to arrive, the full amount for the ad will still be charged. We regret that again, due to deadlines, once the advertising insertion is agreed, please note that we cannot refund any portion in the event of cancellation, apathy, sudden last-minute changes-of-mind, in-house production problems due to overnight staff shortages or other, unforeseen or mitigating, circumstances on the advertiser’s part, and the full rate for the space will be billed for.
Artwork Delivery
Advertising artwork can be emailed to: advertising@screentrademagazine.co.uk (editor), screentrade@propel.co.uk or to our FTP site upon request (please see full contact details below). Artwork can also be mailed on a CD to either of our PO Box addresses, or to the Orpington Spur Road address below, whichever is most convenient. Please advise us which, before mailing. For new advertisements, a proof will be supplied. Please note too that screentrade reserves the right to request modification of, or even to refuse, advertising material if considered to be inappropriate or offensive.
Advertisements of ‘non-uniform’ size
The full spectrum of advertisement sizes is depicted below. For non-uniform sizes, whose proportions cannot be easily adjusted, screentrade reserves the right to include a frame or border to ensure ‘best fit’ on the page.
Extra Charges
Subsequent changes to the same copy (e.g. for a repeat insertion needing a tradeshow booth number, changing a contact number) will attract a nominal design charge if artwork not supplied to us -- typically £8-10 or $20, whichever is the smallest. Also, for artwork that is not supplied according to the comprehensive formats requested (see “ad. Dimensions & Mechanical Data”, below), additional design charges may apply. Through its design teams, screentrade offers a bespoke advertising service. Please ask for details.
Invoicing, Pre-payment Discounting & Wiring
All advertisements are to be pre-paid; for established accounts, terms will be up to 30 days as per invoice, the latter of which will be emailed. After 30 days, interest will be levied monthly at the rate of 8%. Please also advise at the time of order if tear sheets (ad slicks) will be required.
screentrade will offer up to a 5% discount on fully-prepaid series ads (e.g. on 2-4 insertions) Bona fide advertising agencies will be granted a commission of 10% upon prompt invoice settlement, otherwise discount will not apply.
While screentrade does not charge for cash or cheque settlements, please note that payments wired into our US account will attract a fee of $15, which will be added to invoice.
